Rainbows are the youngest members of Girlguiding UK and are aged between 5 and 7 years old. Rainbow units have a maximum of 18 girls with a high ratio of adults to girls to ensure that each individual is given
as much attention and help with activities as possible  but they are not overwhelmed by large numbers.
Rainbows wear a special red polo shirt, trousers and jacket. This is available locally – ask your unit guider.

Rainbow Guides, like all members of Girlguiding UK, make a promise : 
I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
When a Rainbow makes her promise she will receive a promise badge to pin on her uniform.

Being a Rainbow is all about having lots of fun. At our meetings we do lots of things like play games, explore outdoors, make things, sing and listen to stories. Sometimes we have special adventures or have parties. There are always exciting things to do and it is fun playing with Rainbow friends.
